11. my thoughts

a trailer is those things you see before the movie in a theater, it gives you a short rundown of the plot. a preview on the other hand is like one of those sneak peak specials you see where its actor interviews and stuff

13. I use them both, but in slightly different contexts.

If I'm really looking forward to a movie and have been following it, I call them trailers. If I'm just commenting on the random set of trailers that I see in front of any given movie ("That one preview looked really good," etc.), about which I don't have much information, they're previews.
