3. Adorable!
The top kitty looks like s/he has a rabbit's foot. Wish I could relax the way cats do. It's like they're perpetually on Xanax.

What my cat was looking at: directly across from him was a picture window. He was looking out at the evergreens and birds in the yard. That light on his face is from what was left of the late afternoon sun today.

5. Is that pet bed heated?
I see a cord, I think, but didn't ever see a heated bed.

Love the colors in your top pic. That kitty would match my carpeting.

The bottom kitty reminds me of a model from the '60s (or maybe it was the '70s): Jean Shrimpton.

7. I'm busted! My cats are very spoiled...
Yes, it's a heated bed; I justify it by the fact that I live in an old house in Minnesota and the floors are cold. But the truth is that the damn cats are just horribly spoiled.

6. When I was a kid, I had a cat named D'Artagnon...
He was lovely, sweet, and he just showed up at random on my backporch. He was one of my favorite pets. He looked a lot like this cat. He used to sleep like this too.

Actually, D'Artagnon was friendly only to me. I could never figure it out.

16. Yeah, this guy started out scared of me -- but ....
I built him a shelter for the winter and put out food and water regularly. After a while he'd approach the dish when I filled it. After a while he let me pet him, but just one touch then he'd run. Then he got sick and let me pick him up and take him to the vet. He'd purr. But he was too sick to last. The vet thought it was something neurological. The final day I took him in, he couldn't even stand up. So sad. He was a sweet cat.

I had a stray who visited often the year before last. When snow was on the ground, I brought him in to give him fresh water and food. Then I tried to hold him still so I could take his picture. He disagreed with that plan. Bit me hard and it hurt like hell. Had to get medical treatment, blood tests, etc. The health dept. then got word from the doc and they wanted me to bring him in. Fat chance of finding him.

In winter I don't put the glass in my storm door because I want air to seep into the house. One day I opened my wood door and saw the biter-stay spread-eagle on the upper half of my storm door, clinging to the screen. I wasn't prepared for that sight and nearly wet myself when I opened the door.

13. How many do you have?
Are two of those beauties Maine Coons?

The markings on the bottom one are gorgeous -- and oh, those green eyes!

21. With Watson's death we're down to six.
Kaylee, Alex, Clio, Cairo, Monet, and Mozart.

Watson was our purebred Maine Coon. We think Mozart is part Norwegian Forest Cat. The others are unique in their own way. :loveya: And, yes, Alex has gorgeous eyes. They're actually two colors; blue-green and green.

One of these days I'll take the time to upload photos of each of them.

Her ear's bad again. I put her in a choke hold to get drops in her ear. Most of them ended up on my face when she shook her head. Sheesh...

34. Thank you
He's a real lover. But, every now and again, while he's showering me with the most loving kisses, he bites my nose! He just can't help himself. Little shit.

He's not quite finished with kitten hood yet. When he acts that way we call him Gilligan.
