1. I am now a Tiger fan for the rest of the season
If not than maybe the A's (if the Yankees beat the Tigers) in the ALCS.

The last thing I want is a subway series. Any non-New York team on both sides is preferred.

2. I'm with ya there....and
Twins had a great year...making the playoffs in Baseball is a much bigger deal than the other sports where it seems like half the teams get in every year.

They will have virtually everyone coming back next year and will definitely be one of the favorites

4. Thanks...it was a fun season...
Aside from '87 and '91 probably the most enjoyable Twins season I have gone through (been a fan since 1968)...

They will be back next year...they aren't losing any players (except hunter maybe)

14. I bet Hunter stays for the 12 million, at least for one year...
Who the hell else are they going to get to patrol that center field.

24. He's no dumby...he knows that there isn't another better team right now...
And he knows that he can secure a long term deal here. It won't be for 10 mil a year, but it should be decent. He did, afterall, hit 31 dingers this year. That's not bad.

5. Hey, my team's not even in it!
I just hope the Tigers destroy the Yankees in the next couple games and completely elminate the possibility of a Subway Series.

6. Amen to that...
The only thing making the playoffs still interesting is the possiblity of the Yankees getting booted out on their ear again...

8. I saw the Angels beat them last year...
Watching Blunder Boy ground into that game-ending double play was one of the greatest things I've ever seen live! Too bad they couldnt have come back and won the World Series that year.

13. Well, it was a good ride this season.
I couldn't ask for a better season to watch. The postseason was a let-down, but there is something to build on.

21. I'm actually already psyched about next year...
Twins should have a fair amount of money to sign a bat. Loshe, Stewart, and Radke's salary will be gone. I doubt they will pick up Silva's option. They are gonna have to give Mauer, Morneau big raises, and decide on Torii (I think they will at least pick up his option, but may restructure to keep him here), and Santana is due for a raise to 12 mil. But still, adding everything up, Twins should have some money available.

Hopefully Liriano will be healthy, Garza did pretty well considering how fast they brought him up...he has great stuff and will be a big time pitcher...

And they will be coming back with the AL batting champ, the CY Young award winner, possibly the MVP...and had Liriano not gone down probably the ROY as well....

Would not surprise me if they were at the top of the power rankings starting next year!

23. Are there any big bat free agents coming out this year....
They should look to spend some money on one for a DH.

19. Sorry about the Twins
Tori Hunter was the key late season pickup I made on the way to winning my fantasy league. Ihad Liriano for a while, too, until he got hurt.

The future is bright indeed for the Twins.

And, yes, it means we all have to root for whoever plays the Republican Party of Baseball, aka the Yankees.

22. I think there are still a lot of Twins fans here in western Wisconsin
from the time after the Braves left Milwaukee and there was no team in Wisconsin. Lots of other gravitated toward the Cubs (evidently to gratify their masochistic tendencies). The battle cry is, "Wait til next year!"

29. A Very Simple Formula...
1. Twins

2. If the Twins are out of it...whoever is playing the Yankees

3. If the Yankees are out of it...AL Central Division

4. If AL Central out of it...the smaller market team

5. In the World Series...American League Team...unless it is the Yankees...

So right now I am still rooting for the Tigers!
