HBO has a show with different books (including Good Night Moon) read by celebrities. It makes me wish Lelapin was little again.

When I do it is totally soothing, quiet and the kids strain in to hear. But when I get to the part where the little old lady whispers "hush" I shout it out with a gravelly cry at the top of my lungs. Cracks the kids up every time.

Especially toward the end when he's holding his mother and it's looking like she's going to die and oohhh, you are so right, creepy.
Horton Hears a Who is one of my favs as well as Where the Wild Things Are.

through my son's pile of books - I kinda shoved toward the bottom. A well intentioned friend gave it to us - she loved it and said she couldn't get through to the end without crying, but I always thought there was a screw loose with her and she had an overly clingy attachment to her son....better yet, I'll just leave the book where it is and take your word.

fundy-ish about it to me.
