3. I was gonna say
this better be "Smells like Teen Spirit" lol.

It was time.

I don't think Axl Rose has ever recovered.

6. It killed Michael Jackson too
"Nevermind" knocked Jackson's latest from #1 on the album charts, and his career never recovered. Thank gawd!

And yes, killing the buttrock spandex crap was a bonus.

7. I've never forgiven that band for that.
Ironically, the first time I saw that video was on Headbangers Ball.

8. I was listing to KXLU when they announced the shoot for the video.
Loyola-Marymount college radio station Just north of LAX. I was working in Culver City at the time. They invited listeners to be extras. This was before they hit mainstream.

Damn good radio station.

10. And bless them for it
Looking back it's funny though.

I picked up Nevermind becase I heard Dave Grohl was drumming on it and I was a huge Scream fan. My roommate already had Bleach and we both dug that pretty much so I figured that with Dave drumming it would be a pretty rocking album. I was living in Portland OR at the time and had just recently moved there. East coast friends kept calling and asking what we knew about this band from Seattle called Nirvana and we would tell them well they are pretty good and have Scream's old drummer so yeah it's worth checking out. A few weeks later they were the biggest thing in years. Never thought they would change the whole rock landscape.

11. The last great gasp of Rock and Roll, may it rest in peace.
Now it's just memories, imitation, and loving tribute by specialist bands not quite able to ignite the passions anymore.
