Memory lane...
what was your best memory of your child hood...I define child hood as 1-12 yrs of age...my best memory was going on a road trip, and in this road trip I got an original Y wing from star wars, and went down some AWESOME waterslides in Salt Lake city...that trip, is etched in my memory...and will stay there until Alzheimers, or a stroke take it away...how about you, Loungers?

1. On a small island off the coast of Maine
Edited on Sat Oct-07-06 01:42 AM by marzipanni
where my family spent some time most summers before I was eight. There were no cars on the island, and kids were free to roam around. We played on the sandy beach, and in the waves, walked to the little library or tiny post office, or to get an ice cream cone at the little grocery store (this was a miniature world, well suited to child size people!). Took a short trip on the boat to the harbor town once or twice, and just felt so relaxed with my family. Today the taste of wild raspberries, which we used to pick beside the pathways there, instantly brings the island to my mind.

4. This'll sound odd, but in retrospect there are 2 times.
1986: The best ice palace in MN was built. 4AM; mum dragged me out of bed and we went to see it. Stayed there for over an hour. To this day I am highly appreciative. The pattern of the colors of the lights was impressive (better than that pastel toddler garbage erected a couple years ago...)

The other: Age 6 or so. I had a severe asthma attack. Mum took me outside to breathe in the crisp cool air and I felt better.
