Au Jus - Au means with and the menu put "with Au Jus"
A bit redundant. :(

6. I like sandwiches with "au jus" sauce |
|
And the grammar doesn't bother me a bit.
I think it's entirely appropriate to treat "au jus" as the name of the sauce, and therefore treat the foreign preposition as part of that name, rather than as a distinct part of speech in the (english) sentence.
But that's just me. Some folks like to have something to get worked up about :) (In that case, my advice is usally to go for it :toast:)

I think the grammar is okay, like I said. But if it grates on you, then you should certainly run with it. Anything to stay motivated and focused and looking toward the future, that's what I say :)

21. hey, if you ever get a protest together, let me know |
|
This is what I'm thinking: perhaps you could convince the restaurant that a protest would be good publicity, and so they'd give you free food while you were picketing. It's worth a shot anyway. And if they won't give you free food, I'm sure there's a competing restaurant that would gladly throw some sandwiches your way in order to cater to the grammatically friendly.
Something to think about. I'd show up too, of course, to lend my support :) :9

Democrats were the devil (maybe that's a bad "The Waterboy" flashback...who knows?).
I'm just giving you grief. You certainly didn't cancel out your GREAT deed(s) for the day.

I was in Michigan a month ago and had a French dip at the Grand Rapids airport waiting for my flight back. It had cheese on it, as well as the "au jus sauce".

That one little mistake tells me a lot about whether a restaurant knows its stuff or not.
It even beats out "Open seven days".

23. Get a Chicago style Italian beef and that becomes a non-issue. |
|
After all, the "jus" is soaked into the bread, and no one ever says "au jus" because it's assumed to be in the sandwich.
