9am My Own Little Closet, Why it’s so Dangerous! – Reverend Steve Urie from the Spirit of Christ MCC – Joplin, talks about the positives of coming out instead of trying to live two lives and why being closeted increases your risk of being gay bashed.

10am Coming Out in Rural Communities – In big cities it’s easy to be honest about who you are, but what about our homes here in the Ozarks? Don Dressel from PROMO discusses the challenges and opportunities of being openly gay in rural communities.

11am What Can PROMO do fo You? – PROMO (Personal Rights of Missourians), Missouri’s statewide LGBT advocacy group is making Missouri a better place for gays and lesbians to live honest, open lives. Don Dressel, PROMO’s field organizer talks about what PROMO can do for you, even if you’re still in the closet or not even gay.
