For the love of god...this blasted memo is one line over the limit.

And I can't for the life of me cut it to fit. (I've already cut it a ton.) I've gotten rid of widows, and I've gotten rid of unnecessary passive voice and unneeded quotes.

I'll have to cut more, though -- we've got strict margin and font guidelines, so we can't futz with those, and it's a letter grade off if we're over the limit.

I've been looking at this damn memo since early September. It's out of my hands on Wednesday. I'd almost rather have been given a quick deadline -- it would have forced me to just do it and be done with it.

2. Yup.

My Very First Legal Memo Ever. It's about a hypothetical contract dispute. Last year, the class got to write about nudists.

But, I think I might be pretty close to done...it just needs a proof.

We're doing "editing workshops" tomorrow -- problem is, we don't get the benefit of other people's edits. I'm to hand in copies of my draft, without my name on it, and classmates are to edit. (And I'll be editing two of my classmates' papers.) We will never see what our classmates wrote.
