I am working on an Argentinian wine, Kaiken 2002 Malbec
It needs to breathe a few hours, still the first taste will open your eyes. As you drink, it mellows. Lots of berry flavors and a bit of tannin at the end. An interesting wine. I like it much better than my wife does. $10.
Tim Adams 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Here's another excellent $10 wine. Fruit and some oak, nice nose. Both my wife and I love this wine. If I had to choose between this one and the Malbec, I'd go with this wine. It is just a fine tasting wine. That doesn't mean you should pass over the Malbec, it's pretty good. If my wife liked it, I would be just as happy drinking it as the Tim Adams.
Both wines are worth the money.
Tim Adams might replace Penfolds Rawsons Retreat Merlot as my wife's default red wine.
BTW, Yellow Tail sucks.

2. I'm new to the Malbecs so it will take time to know what is |

a good Malbec.
My wine expert went nuts on us and has disappeared into the wilds of south Indiana. I still have two other sources I trust. I have one good source for bourbons, she seems to know wines too. She's the one that turned me on to Penfolds.
What do you suggest in Chilean wines?
