Does anybody else feel lost this morning?

1. Not so much lost...

but pissed that I have to go into work today. I work for a bank. All the other banks in my town have today off, because it is a federal holiday. Well, my rightwing, repuke owners(it's a family owned bank) decided that we needed to have a training day and so all employees have to come in for training on Columbus Day(October) and President's Day(February) each year. We only get the MAJOR holiday's off...and get this...if you are an hourly employee and do not use your 7 days sick days each year they pay you for those days at the end of each year, BUT, if you are a salary employee you lose those days and are written up in your review if you dare take them!!! go figure??? They count them against you!!! You're damned if you do and damned if you don't.

the cold calls are easy today, though - lots of VM's.

Columbus is a disgusting holiday anyway - I don't mind "working" today (I'm really trying to slack more than normal today).

2. "Lost" isn't quite right

I'm sort of feeling a little rudderless, though. Finally got all the suddenly-ex's stuff out of the house into the shed -- with no assistance from her, only grief -- and re-arranged furniture. It's going to take a bit to get used to seeing something different where, for example, her dresser used to be. That kind of thing. :shrug:

7. Maybe not as much lost as alone and terrified.

And all I've got are my possessions.

Is it a wasted life? Or a life turned away from people as a result of inability to empathize and socialize? And what it would take to keep living the comparatively solitary lifestyle I am contented with; I've asked these questions before and all I can do is come up with silly or cynical jokes because, what if I do know that for everything I think is incapable to me as reality?

Just pissed at myself for procrastinating on an assignment, and pissed at the construction crews renovating my dorm. They woke me up early.
