My home computer died on Saturday morning.
I'm going through serious withdrawl. All of my writing, all of my games, my access to the internet, all gone for the past two days. I barely survived the weekend. x(

I can only get online now from work so you won't see as much of me for a little while until I get this resolved.

I actually looked forward to Monday morning so I could get to work and have a working computer in front of me. :(

1. Awww. How long until you get a new one?
They're super cheap now.

2. Unfortunately, I'm super poor right now
because of travel expenses and medical stuff. So I don't know. :(

I have some friends of mine in IT who are going to take a look at it. It might be something minor. If they can fix it, or replace a part then I'll be okay.

If I have to buy a whole new computer then it might be a little while.

3. Well, here's hoping for something that isn't too spendy to fix.

6. It's scary.
:scared:
I paced back and forth and found myself going to sit down at the computer dozens of times thinking, "I'll just do this" or "I'll just check that." I had no idea how much I've come to depend on that computer.

Thank you for the blessing. I think I need it. :)

13. You can probably live without us longer than we can live without you.

If it's something that can't be fixed and if the withdrawal gets too bad between computers, you may want to check out your local library or university or tech school. I had to do that once. Actually the local tech schools were the best deal in both cities where I used them, they let the public use their computer lab for free but unlike the library they had nice new computers with no time limits.

Good luck.

14. My boss is giving me an old computer.
If I can get it home (not a sure thing because I can't carry it myself) then I have an old beat-up computer to get me through for a little while.

:)

15. From an entirely selfish standpoint

...I'd rather have you in touch on an old beat-up computer than not at all.

18. I was in the middle of a very violent game.
Knights battling dragons and blood everywhere! It was not a quiet peaceful death. :P
