College football: Is it realistic to think my kid can get on a team?
My HS senior really wants to go to a college where he can play football. Certainly it would be a Division III team. He's a pretty good player, not a stand-out, but plays the entire game, both offense and defense, and has made some great plays this year. His team isn't very good, but he has shown a lot of potential. His grades are average. I think his coach may have some pull.

I hate to get his hopes up, but then again, I always tell my kids to aim high.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Should I talk to the coach and ask him?

Thanks in advance.

1. Sure.
Talk to the coach, couldn't hurt. I've known kids that played in Division II schools that didn't recieve any attention from recruiters during highschool.
