9. I'm looking forward to those.
How was the camping? This area was mobbed with hikers for the weekend.

12. One other camper at our site - there were only five sites there

The National Park was pretty deserted. We camped in the Sequoia National Forest (between Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon National Park).

Oh, I'm sure everyone was out to see those beautiful fall colors! :-)

No colors here though, just the Sierra Mountains.....and those awesome Sequoia trees.

Edit: grammar

13. I found some trails that no one but the locals know about
and they were deserted. Seems that the moose have all vanished for the weekend also. Mating season is coming up in November, so we'll hear the "moose attacks tourist" stories pretty soon.

30. It'll be good to neighbors with you. You do promise, though, that you'll
take the Little Guy for the hikes that I can't take him on anymore?

I cannot introduce him to the mountains that I knew so intimately long ago, and I'm very unhappy that I can't.

They have some fantastic kids programs for hiking and camping. In fact, the woman who runs the family programs is a good friend of mine.
