Is it possible to have one's gaydar serviced or replaced? |
|
I just found out that my cousin got married. To a guy. I was at least 110% sure she was a lesbian. She might have been a tricky case, because she had my sister fooled too, but I'm wrong about people's sexuality pretty often. So can I get a new gaydar array on ebay or take a class or something before I really embarass myself?

1. I'd give you lessons, but I don't know how to teach effective gaydar. |

I seem to always have a pretty good idea about men, somewhat less so with women.
(But I can never figure women out anyway.)
I can't break it down or analyze it at all, I just seem to usually know.

2. Well, it doesn't mean the gaydar is broken. |

One of my cousins always pinged my gaydar. Then, she had a huge wedding to a man. Six months later, they were divorced. Now she's in a domestic partnership with a woman and they have a kid together.
There's no way to fix your gaydar though. Anyway, straight people usually have pretty broken gaydar.

But I've been really, really, really wrong before. I'll PM you the details.
