I was listening to the song "Not Where It's At" by Del Amitri and
it hit me that the beginning of this song could have been sung by XTC.

I know XTC has some power pop tendencies, but the similarites between the two groups in this song are amazing.

I don't know...maybe I'm wrong.

2. They've got some really great songs. Most people only know
them from their song "Roll to Me."

4. One of my favorite songs EVER.
Far superior to "Roll To Me" in my opinion. I don't know why it wasn't a bigger hit.

5. I agree. Del Amitri has some great songs that should have been hits.
I read an interview with the band one time and they were saying that they were surprised that "Roll to Me" was a hit.

6. Thank you for this thread.
I shall now explore the songs of Del Amitri. I did like Roll to Me, but I never looked into their other songs.

I should!

Right now I'm lovin' Thom Yorke's solo CD The Eraser.

It's fantastic! :D

Favorite tracks are: Skip Divided, Atoms for Peace, Black Swan, Analyse, and of course: Harrowdown Hill. Hmmm... I'm tempted to post links to Youtube :7
