I was listening to the song "Not Where It's At" by Del Amitri and |
|
it hit me that the beginning of this song could have been sung by XTC.
I know XTC has some power pop tendencies, but the similarites between the two groups in this song are amazing.
I don't know...maybe I'm wrong.

2. They've got some really great songs. Most people only know |
|
them from their song "Roll to Me."

4. One of my favorite songs EVER. |
|
Far superior to "Roll To Me" in my opinion. I don't know why it wasn't a bigger hit.

5. I agree. Del Amitri has some great songs that should have been hits. |
|
I read an interview with the band one time and they were saying that they were surprised that "Roll to Me" was a hit.

6. Thank you for this thread. |

I shall now explore the songs of Del Amitri. I did like Roll to Me, but I never looked into their other songs.
I should!

Right now I'm lovin' Thom Yorke's solo CD The Eraser.
It's fantastic! :D
Favorite tracks are: Skip Divided, Atoms for Peace, Black Swan, Analyse, and of course: Harrowdown Hill. Hmmm... I'm tempted to post links to Youtube :7
