Friday the 13th CONFESS!!! Tell me your brush with bad luck

We all have our stories of unluckiness.

Mine - I tend to misplace my wallet everytime I'm ready to go on a trip. Today was no exception. But last time I cancelled all the credit cards I ended up finding the wallet the next day.

What's your brush with bad luck

1. Mis-reading my itinerary

A few times last year, I was at the airport, and realized that I had mis-read or mis-remembered my itinerary, and missed my plane.

The worst was my first-ever flight to Europe (for work), when, sitting on SEPTA, I realized that:
a) S.O. still had the ATM card, and I had NO MONEY for an entire week in Venice (had been planning to take money from ATMs over there rather than convert $ to EUs
b) I had mis-remembered my schedule, and had only one hour to get to the airport AND get my flight

Called S.O., who met me at 30th Street Station with the ATM card, then we raced to the airport, where the Luftansa guy said I was too late to check my bags and get on the plane.

But luck was actually WITH me for the first time that day -- a big school group was late, Luftansa held the plane for them, and the guy let me check in and run for the plane. Never so happy to see a huge group of loud teenagers in my life.

Maybe because I turned 13 on Friday 13th, I have really bad luck, which turns out okay, but not before causing lots of anxiety......

2. I turn fifteen.

Bad luck for someone because next year I'm able to drive.

3. It didn't happen to me but....my sister and bro'in'law were drivin' from..

....Alexandria to Monroe on a small two lane Hwy...they were in a teeny tiny two-door Chevy Monza...they hit a cow in the road...it hit the bumper then the windsheild and flew over the car...then they hit a pig immediately after...the pig died and the cow had to be put down...now pray tell :wtf: was a cow and a pig doin' walkin' down the road together on an early Friday evening?! Their freakin'Friday the 13th ended in a bizarre freak accident...totaled that little Monza...but sis and bro'in'law were uninjured but trippin' pretty heavily on the experience! :crazy:

4. My bad luck this Friday the 13th is that..

...Bush is expected to sign the port security bill into law today, which means that the republicans' lame attempt to pander to the religious right by banning internet gambling will become law, which means that Party Poker and Empire will suspend all American accounts.

My life's been fucked up ever since.
