"Dallas" movie cast quits!
Everyone but John Revolting quit!

Remember how they were going to do a film version of Dallas? That was fun, right? Yeah, well, all of the actors in the film have dropped out, except for John Travolta. What, does he smell bad or something? I mean, it was supposed to be Shirley MacLaine, Jennifer Lopez, Meg Ryan...hell, that sounds like a pretty good cast.

And then, they all quit. It might have something to do with the fact that the studio has significantly reduced the production budget, but it might also have to do with the fact that they've finally gotten a draft of the script, and it's horrific. Who knows?

2. Maybe 'Dallas' is being turned into a sitcom like all the other tv/movies?

3. Maybe John tried a bit too hard...
...to convert the rest of the cast to Scientology.

5. Actually, if you read the Variety article . . .
. . . it is just as reasonable to conclude that the backers/producers realized that they did not need to throw money away on the highest priced actors and actresses. Kind of a cost-benefit analysis.

The g4tv piece is simply snide and smartass. ;)
