I just finished writing 2 math project research papers. I've just taken enough medicine to kill a moose. Never fear though. It's my usualy dose for a math related headache. Before I become incoherent and falling down drunken and tipsy (hopefully ), would anyone like to ask me any questions?

I'm not much without being under the influence anyhow. Once I'm tipsy, I can see myself streaking and possibly dancing on a couple of Lounge tables all at the same time. Pah-tay.

Years ago my stepdad took the front wheel off my bike to build a homemade hand plow. As far as I know, the plow still sits in the shed waiting for next spring's garden and my bike looks pitiful. I wouldn't dare try to ride it in that shape nor in this shape (me about now).

Howdy. Good to see you while we can party instead of wracking our brains. You wouldn't believe the beehive question I was assigned in calculus. I have the answer now, but I don't think anyone wants to get into it. I spent days on it and still couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. Finally, the teacher himself told me it was simple. I avoided the urge to give him a noogie and he told me. I was supposed to do one thing different to get the answer. It was amazing.

What are the applications of the math you are studying? Is it calculus, or related to physics by any chance?
And congratulations on your papers, by the way.

12. It is for a calculus class, but the teacher was very lenient. |
|
As long as we wrote about math or a mathematician in general, we were ok. I chose to write about one about Ratios and Proportions and one about Pythagoras (about him more than his math finds.) Did you know he once wrote a musical scale according to how the vertebrae in the human back vibrate and used his music to heal people? He also talked to animals and refused to eat beans. He was an interesting character. For the ratios and proportions, I used transformers, a roof, and a cement mixing job as examples.

Now, the time table may be a bit long and drawn out because we have to first find somewhere to stuff the stuffy types who like Chimpy. I vote putting bars on a few of those caves we hear tell about in Afghanistan and locking them all in there until they evolve to our way of thinking.
In the meantime, in ten years, I hope to have won the lottery and either have my dream home built or be in the active process of building it. To me, dreaming about will be way more fun than the headache of the actual process, and living in it will be a treat. If I have my d'rathers, I'll build a nice storm/bomb shelter with an adjoining root cellar with plenty of good canned food and potatoes and onions and other root veggies. During that time, I hope to finally get to just study music, which is what I really wanted to do to begin with. I really love music and playing my guitar. I love writing songs, so a one room studio of sorts would have to be in the equation somewhere in my dream home. That's what I really wanna do more than anything in this whole wide world.

I hope things turn out that way. Just last week my family chipped in on an early birthday present for me, a Les Paul Gibson, my first really nice guitar. No matter how bad things may get, we'll just keep playing "three chords and the truth."
I like your view of the future.

30. Oh, you got a classic great rock guitar. |
|
I don't have any that nice, but I do have 2 guitars that are just my babies. One is a royal metallic blue Charvel (Japanese made) from the actual 80's and the other is a Charvette, same deal. What was so cool about it was that they quit making the Charvels for a number of years and the Charvettes are rare now. They aren't worth a lot of money, but they are worth a lot to me. One day, I hope to get a custom Jackson. I would like cat faces in place of dots on the neck. I was thinking onyx would be great, but there has to be some reason they don't use that very often for the dots.
You and I could start a band and hang out and record in my little shelter/home recording studio. Better yet, let's just pick a place and make a little community for DU musicians and artists to hang out and make it a beautiful little world. I love to dream.

Keep dreaming. It makes me really happy to meet others who still dream. You take care!
Incidentally, I was more comfortable playing my $250 electric than this Les Paul, which is so strange to me and I'm afraid to touch. And they got me this huge Vox amp, which is ridiculous since I live in this very conservative neighborhood, and it's going to be so loud that I probably won't be able to play it anymore. They meant well, and I don't want to hurt their feelings, but this is overkill. I just love to play the guitar for myself.

Well, it's like this: I only ever bet on sports once in my life. It was against the Cardinals. It was only 5 bucks, but I still remember it. So this time, I'll say the Cardinals will win, but I won't bet on it. Of course, I'm not sure about that as I haven't had much time to watch my favorite sport this summer.

I especially love chocolate milk. I like chocolate milk made with Hershey's syrup and chocolate milk made with Ovaltine. I have been known to drink an entire pint of milk while walking to class. I go directly to the machine, get milk, open it, and head straight to class. Before I get to the other building, I have finished the milk and can throw the bottle away and go to class. It's almost like one fluid motion. I could probably chug milk. Most people don't have contests like those though.

50. With most alarm clocks, there is a small click |
|
just before the alarm goes off. Often, I hear that click before mine goes off. Sometimes, a 60 second countdown will be present in some alarm clocks as well. That may be what really wakes you up. Other than that, it could be a subliminal thing. You know deep down you remembered to set it, so you wake up. If you forgot to set it, chances are you were tired and needed more sleep anyhow. Or at least, that's my reasoning here.
