5. Do you have a Petco or PetSmart in your area?

On Saturdays at their stores around here the SPCA puts up cats and dogs for adoption. You can look at them, you might see one that you like! I first found our dog on the SPCA website, and we went to the store to meet her. These dogs and cats live in foster homes, not the pound.

6. Gotcha...we are trying to decide between two rescue cats...

one is a brit short and the other is a pixie-bob. I am huge advocate for rescue services. In fact, my (now deceased) Staffordshire Terrier was a rescue, my current english bulldog was adopted from a bulldog rescue, and we are very deliberately looking for a rescued cat to adopt.

I have two, and they are the cutest, nicest, funniest kitties (they are Persians bred with Brits -- they have the Brits fur and intelligence, the Exotics smooshy face, cobby body, playfulness, and personality... and they know they are cute and adorable).
