Great Ad-Libs in Music History |

My favorite: midway through "There It Is", James Brown commands the JBs to stop.
For reasons that remain obscure, he then shouts "PEE ON IT NOW!"
The bandmembers hesitate for a second as if completely bewildered, and then pick up where they left off.

was a thrown-together adlib by Joe Perry just to fill the space. He intended to come back later and put in a real solo. It did not happen. Ergo, one of the most recognizable, albeit simple, guitar solos in all of rock.
