57. Yeah I think my tastes have matured a bit, think the first RECORD
I bought was either Bobby Sherman, or maybe Cher. Last I think (I don't buy much music, as I have a GREAT community radio station that I listen to almost all the time - you can too they stream at http://www.publicbroadcasting.net/kxci/ppr/index.shtml - they are broadcasting live Marcia Ball from the Tucson BLues show right now) But I digress. I think the last I bought was probably some Saz music in Turkey a few years ago, although I might have picked up some Norteno in Agua Prieta since then, not sure. Last CD I recieved as a gift is this great Gypsy music from a band called Fanfare Ciocarlia.

65. ha!
the first record I ever bought with my own money was "Take Me Home, Country Roads" by John enver when it came out in 71, I think. I listened to a country station (WSLR in Akron) every night to hear the song before I bought the single and in the process got a great exposure to country music itself, which I wouldn't have otherwise. It was smack in the middle of the Countrypolitan phase, and I've always had a soft-spot for that genre of country music since..

I get sent CD's way more than I buy because of the station, so that last one I think I bought was Richmond Fontaine's "The Fitzgerald". They ar still the best band in North America..
