Why is it so hard to find Achiote paste in California? |
In all of the Bay Area, I know of one...ONE...place that carries this stuff. So not living near Fremont anymore, I had to order it online...
FYI, Achiote Paste is the Anatto Seed paste stuff that you marinate chicken in and it gets all red.

1. No Mexican grocery stores |
in your area? We've got two that recently opened. We have a large hispanic population for such a small town. And if I'm happy to see the stores, I imagine they're estatic. Having lived in other countries, I remember how it was not to find the foods or brands you craved.

2. That's weird, because in Bangor Maine |
you can find it in the local grocery store, while Mexicans are pretty scarce even during the brief season. Odd.
