I have never forgotten these lyrics, burned into my memory during my very early FEC* days. I especially like the tune. I think a lot of former FECs and many current ones probably know this song.

In case you couldn't guess, it's about the FEC theory (fantasy) of The Rapture.

1. Ah yes, Larry Norman. Saw him in concert several times.

Had some pretty shocking lyrics back in the day.

Long hair hippie type guy with some fairly decent music. For a time I was only able to listen to 'christian' music, so I listened to him and the Resurrection Band.

Thing is, Larry has been sick in recent years and has been whining about it a lot. Kind of weird for a born-again Christian imo.

That song about the 'rapture' was featured in at least one movie about it that was shown in Evangelical churches. Was/is a pretty powerful song for those who believe in that sort of thing.
