I really miss Doug Sahm. "Mendocino" was one of my earliest favorite songs.

Learned to love Tex-Mex and Tejano much later.

5. Heard it tonight in fact. Great song. I guess Doug and Freddy and
so many others smoked as well as hung out in enough smoke filled honky tonks that it caught up with them.
