5. Only click if you want a GREAT job
This will sound goofy, but it worked for me:

1. Get calm, sit down, and take a pen and a notebook.
2. Think deeply about what your perfect job would be like.
3. Write down each point about it. (i.e., "a sunlit office", "10 minute drive to work", etc.)
4. Don't be general about 3, either! Be as specific as possible.
5. Then put the job hunt out of your mind. (as best you can.)
6. Put the notebook away somewhere.
7. This is the tough one: breathe, and be thankful ahead of time for the job *before* you get it.
8. Live life. If an "ok" job comes along, take it.

I *promise* you 100% scout's honor someone will under unusual circumstances come along and unexpectedly offer you the exact job you described in your notebook. I read this trick in a book and tried it, totally skeptical. I have my own business and needed something only 2-3 hours a day that paid a lot, and was easy. In the meantime, I took another job that was "just ok". Not four weeks after I did, a friend of my roommate kept looking intently at me whenever I visited the office where he worked. She was his boss. Suddenly, someone vacated a 2-3 hour a day spot there, and guess who she called, out of the blue. The job pays great and is the exact job I described, right down to a bubbling fountain in the corner and the exact salary, which is terrific.

I then suggested the trick to my sister, who hated her then-current job. She tried it, and guess what? You guessed it!

Give it a try and please check back in to let us know how it goes.
PS: BE VERY EXACT ABOUT SALARY. WRITE DOWN THE EXACT NUMERALS. YOU WILL GET THEM.

Try it :)

13. Anywhere in Denver, from Colo Springs to Ft Collins
although I'd really prefer to find something close to home (Lakewood).

I have two other "jobs" that I'm passionate about, but they just aren't paying the bills. I don't need much, but after two years of losing ground, I need to recharge the old bank account.
