The Jezebel Profile
Every day I read many letters from women who are having trouble in their marriage. I also receive letters from women testifying of the victory they have received and of healing that has occurred.

In our heart of hearts, we all want the same thing. We want to be loved and cherished.
I have developed a lot of insight through reading these testimonies of successes and failures. My husband and I have searched the Scriptures to find answers for the many domestic issues that are presented to us.

The causes of marital failure are many and varied. There is no one cause or single issue. The man is at fault just as much as the woman, but it is nearly always the woman who seeks answers. Men just go to work and learn to live with it—or flee from it. Women ask, “What can I do to heal my marriage?” I am a woman. Men don’t usually ask me for advice—which is as it should be. So I speak to women, and for that I am often accused of being one-sided. Women ask, “Why do you always blame the women; what about the men?” So to the women I say, you cannot change 100% of the marriage, but you can change 50% of it, and that may improve your marriage by 200%.

Our readers are a unique group. They are spiritually minded, church going, Bible believing, mostly homeschooling, and very family centered in perspective. This profile lends itself to several unique sources of irritation to the marriage. Your letters and testimonies have enabled us to identify one of the most common problem on the woman’s side. It is the Jezebel spirit.

There is more... so much more. :D

1. This is a gem:
In the dominant role, a woman quickly becomes emotionally and physically exhausted. God made us the weaker vessels. If you are in this exhausted state, then chances are you’re carrying a load not meant for you. It is not for you to press your husband to do his duty to be spiritual. You are to live joyfully in the context he provides.

15. once again
both my christian brothers' christian wives are in the dominant role in their marriages, by a long shot. What stuns me here is how innately mommy-phobic these guys obviously are.

Is it not completely fucked up, their ground-level assertion that one partner in a relationship must be dominant and the other submissive. At the most, that's a sexual dynamic. When it becomes an interpersonal one in a relationship something really fucked up and inauthentic is going on. In almost all these relationships the woman is dominant despite all posturing and protestations to the contrary. It's one of the great paradoxes I've found in life, and it just keeps repeating. It never occurs to these people that maybe striving for some kind of equality in the relationship is the most desirable state, noooo, that would just be way to frightening for these men to contemplate, and the truth is if they have that much fear of women going into the relationship then it's going to be really fucked up. I've become pretty fascinated by this stuff watching the dynamic of my brothers' relationships and having the experience of getting the fucked up resentment coming from straight men when they found out I dated women, almost anger or something. Plus the anger/resentment whatever toward lesbians across the board from straight guys, which I find so weird and misplaced since it isn't lesbians that cheat on men, take them for everything they are worth, and take their kids away from them in divorces; that is always their heterosexual wives, but lesbians/feminists (who are usually the ones willing to pay their own way) get hit with that resentment and low-level anger from men just for existing.

8. Un-fucking-believable
that article is. What complete and utter bullshit. I was expecting to also read that if she needs to take out her frustrations, she should do so while washing his clothes by the river...and to stay away from him during her period, that she's 'unclean'.

I would expect to read that crap in the 15th century -- Hello? -- have they checked the calendar lately. :wtf:

6. From "Safeguarding Your Children:"
http://www.nogreaterjoy.org/index.php?id=75&tx_ttnews=homosexual&tx_ttnews=108&tx_ttnews=118&tx_ttnews=1&cHash=226eabdb8c

"When my brothers were ten and twelve years old, they found pornography stapled to the trees in the woods where some filthy hunter had left it for the Amish kids to find. My brothers reacted the same way I had. They turned their backs and approached each tree with their backs to it, pulled down the pages and wadded them up into tight balls, stuffed them in their backpacks and brought them home to burn."

It must have been hard ripping down the pictures with their backs against the tree.

10. They deserve to have their asses kicked.
Actually, that sort of reminded me of a story one of my friend's told me. I think she was 11 or 12 when her & her friends found a picture cut from a porn mag of just a penis out in the woods. She said it was the first penis she ever saw and she was totally revolted by it, but she still wanted to keep the picture, for some reason. This was back when the Roo sneakers with the zipper pockets were popular. So she folded up the penis pic and hid it in the pocket of her sneakers. Eventually, she outgrew the sneakers, but she still kept them in her closet, carefully hiding the illicit picture. One day she came home from school and the sneakers were gone. Her mother had donated them to Goodwill. Since her mother never mentioned anything about the picture, she assumes that some kid ended up with her pair of Goodwill Roo sneakers and eventually found the hidden penis.

Hopefully, whatever kid found it, didn't burn it.

7. I find this rather creepy...
"Dad built our house so that all the bedroom doors facing the main living room/family room. None of our doors had locks on them until we were older, and then only the girls. We were never allowed to spend time in our rooms behind closed doors. The door could only be closed for five minutes of clothes changing. If a door was closed for a longer period of time, Dad was likely to walk in unannounced to see what we were up to."

Yeah, so the dad was timing how long his daughters were behind closed doors changing, and if the door was closed for more than five minutes, he'd barge in to see what was up? Uh...sounds to me like he wanted to catch them naked or something.

11. This whole website creeps me out
I just read an article where they told a woman who had 8 kids and who was tired of having kids that she had to do what her husband wanted, and if he wanted more kids then that's how it was going to be.

Like, HONESTLY! What's the point of being an American in the 21st century if you have no more choice in your life than a black slave in the 18th century?
