Does anyone know how to translate women's pants sizes into men's pants
sizes?

I want to find baseball pants for Halloween.

3. Prob'ly, but some places I've tried to order on line have only
men's sizes, no m - l - xl - etc.

7. Try baseballexpress.com
Or Sports Authority. The ones my son has always worn come in regular sizes. S M L, etc.

I generally wear a size 2, but I wear a 28 in men's pants.

12. Go by the hip measurement
men's pants are sized by the waist-which usually isn't too much narrower than their hips.
So, for example, if one takes a size 12 in women's pants-which have a general measurement of a 38" hip, try a men's size 38 waist pants. You may have to try a waist size up or down to get it correct-sizes can vary as there's no real standardization.
