Well, it's comfortable for 20#, but I'm almost afraid to wear it:
It looks like body armor. The police might think I'm getting ready to rob a store.
On the other hand, it is quite comfy in relation to the ankle weights. And it certainly gets my heart rate up. And, judging by the flash photo, the retro-reflective stuff works great.
Still... kinda silly to point out to strangers where the mp3 player is hiding.

1. is that
a weighted vest for running? If it has twenty pounds of weights, it pretty much is body armor, since those weights would have some stopping power...

:hi:

2. yup. Yeah, but the weights look like they'd shatter, doing even more
damage :) :hi: and welcome to DU!

7. Well yeah, but it's more comfy than the ones that
were always nibbling at my ankles.

4. You could just start eating fried chicken and not exercising.
After a month, that would give you the same workout, right?

10. Have you ever seen the size of a fat man's calves?
Imagine carrying around a HUNDRED pound pack instead of a twenty pound one, every moment of every day. Leg presses like that only exist in Pat Robertson's dreams.

There are trade-offs, of course...

9. I like it
It beats the ankle & wrists weights I wear now.

I wouldn't want to advertise my mp3 player either. That pocket should have been inside the vest, not outside. I would use a black fabric paint pen & color in the headphones.

11. It's much better, for me at least. One
thing I didn't think of was how all that metal would impact my heart rate monitor. It wouldn't work if I put it into monitor or exercise mode while wearing the vest. However, if I let it lock in before donning the vest, it works fine.

That's a good idea, I'm going to cover those earphones with something.
