Coach Who Ordered Beaning Of Autistic Player Wants Out Of Jail
http://www.thepittsburghchannel.com/news/10103598/detail.html

<snip>
FAYETTE COUNTY, Pa. -- A man serving prison time for asking a player on his T-ball team to bean an autistic player is asking a judge to let him out of jail.

Mark Downs of Dunbar was sentenced last week to one to six years in prison. His attorney is arguing that Downs' family will be in financial trouble if he doesn't get out.

Tough shit, douchebag. :grr:

1. Newsflash: EVERYONE wants out of jail, Mr. Downs!
That desire doesn't make you special, nor does
the fact that your well-deserved incarceration
has a financial impact on your family.

No, it's only the depraved level of scumbaggery
to which you stooped that sets _YOU_ apart from
the crowd.

What you WANT is irrelevant. What you HAVE CHOSEN is at hand.
Suck it up, dirtbag.

Kind of makes you wonder what he thought happened to families when the father went to jail. Probably something along the lines of, "Since I'm a rich white guy, somebody will take care of my wife and children while I'm there. Welfare and homelessness is only for those lazy dark skinned people, not 'nice' citizens like MY family!"

I love it when priveledged, arrogant assholes get a real world wake up call. I hope this sick bastard stays in jail for the entire 6 years.

5. well, to be fair, sometimes people who kill don't get six years
what he did was horrible, but six years seems excessive to me.

I could see a year....

8. screw that. this peckerwood should be in for longer.
he had the kid hit twice (once in the junk), and he paid some other kids to do it. he's an asshole.

9. I agree that he's an asshole
but I just think the sentence was a bit excessive. I've seen rapists and child molestors get lighter sentences.... (not that they should)

I can't help but think that the publicity in this case led to a sentence that was more lengthy than made sense, that's all.

10. I think he was sentenced one-to-six years.
He'll probably serve only a year or so.

7. Next time, don't order an assault on a handicapped person.
x(

(BTW: Falling into the autistic category myself, the epithet 'handicapped' is justified.)

11. I'm okay with letting him out of jail, so long as he instead gets sent to
the ninth circle of hell.
