1. It's still around.
I use it to clean my toilets when they have calcium rings on them. :)

2. Man, that stuff was God awful
I think the spaceman appeal was the only reason why people bought it

7. nine of ten customers surveyed
thought it tasted like bitter powdered sawdust, but they are probably still using it in MREs. It has gone to consumer heaven along with Quisp, Kaboom, King Vitamin, Tab, and new Coke.

Or it may still have a niche market. At the grocery store the other day I could not even find Hawaiian Punch, and their cookie aisle has only Famous Amos, Nabisco and nasty looking generics. No Rippin Good cookies. I wonder if they have cold beer (inside family joke).

11. It's bad/it's worldwide
http://www.kraft.com/archives/brands/brands_tang.html
"Today, the Tang brand is the leading powdered beverage brand in Kraft’s Latin America, Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa, and Asia Pacific geographic regions." I guess some places, astronauts are still hip.

14. I thought Tang had gone the way of Space Food Sticks until
I saw it in the grocery store a while back. :P Too bad I don't think they make the grape kind any more. It was far better than the orange crap.

17. The Proper Way To Drink Tang
Don't put it in water, mix it into Milk. Then you're drinking a creamsicle. MMMM.

I love doing that but it makes my wife throw up in her mouth just watching me drink it. Different strokes I guess.

yesterday. They only had it in the 'tubs' that make 2 quarts though.

19. Maybe Homer drank it all
Homer calls NASA.

Homer: "How come I can't get no Tang 'round here?!",
NASA: "How did you get our number?"
Homer: "Shutup!"

He also calls the President at the White House:

Homer: "Hello, is this President Clinton? Good! I figured if anyone knew where to get some Tang, it'd be you.....Shut up!"

//This episode aired in 1994, long before anyone ever heard of Monica Lewinsky....
