Where things stand
aka, my life as a moving target. :)

I have a temp assignment interview with the client. It's pretty much a given I've got the gig, the start date is unknown.

I had meeting with the other full-time employee at the CPA's office. We got along great and our skills compliment each others. No dicussion of salary or benefits yet, but the CPA knows what I'm asking.

A headhunter presented my resume to a commercial development firm. So far, haven't heard anything but the salary is 20% higher than the CPA and I know they have benefits. I need to put the screws to this guy to get an answer on the company's interest in me.

I got a call from another temp agency wanting to know my availability.

I got a call from another placement agency to emphasize certain skills in my resume so it can be presented to a country club/gold course/fitness facility about 4 miles from my house. Resume has been modified and sent.

So, when it rains... Now it's a waiting game again, but these opportunities have all surfaced in the last 2 days.

:)

I'm still waiting, myself. As of yesterday, they were calling references and I would be hearing from them "shortly." :)

16. Hmmm, well, I had other things going on that I actively contributed to,
so I guess that helped. Technically, I've never really had a lot of confidence or self-esteem anyway though.

15. Heh
Actually, I managed without getting any public assistance, although looking back, I probably should have. Pride makes you do strange things. :(

You're right, when everything slams you at once, it's like being in the eye of a hurricane. Right? Wrong? Should I? BTDT.

18. Here's a great affirmation for you: I have it taped to my computer
Edited on Wed Oct-18-06 09:35 PM by Shine
Everyday I remember more of who I really am.
Opportunities present themselves to me just because.
I walk around in the Universe aware that the Good that I seek is seeking me.
I free my possibility from expectations.
I am willing to entertain talents I never considered.
I strengthen skills that I never knew I had.
I love more than I ever imagined possible.
I understand more than I comprehend.
The future is clear even when I don't see the way.
My faith is unshakeable and my trust ever apparent.
"Yes" is a rhythmic mantra of my soul.

 :loveya:

29. We had a little funeral this afternoon...
My stepson came over and dug a grave for him, and we buried Waffles when my son got home from work. We put a few chrysanthemums on it, and found a pretty rock to mark the grave.

We're sad, but we're ok...
Thanks for asking.
