Let's see....last night when I left work, the side door on my van was frozen shut. The two front doors won't open from the outside. Which left me the very back, which was also frozen shut but I had better leverage back there. I get it open, climb up...slip and fall out of the car and onto my ass in the parking lot. I finally get back in, climb over all the seats and start the engine, but there's too much snow for my windshield wipers. So I open the door...nice and wide...and go around to knock the snow off the wiper blades and...

the security guard comes along and shuts the door.

GAHHHHHHH!!!!!

At home, I got about four, I'm guessing. Usually the snow here's very dry and light. Four inches on a windshield and you can usually just think it off. This time, it was wet and heavy. Took out trees and branches and power in places.

And froze doors shut.

We haven't had one of those in about ten years. Matter of fact, it was the weekend of my youngest kid's first birthday. He turns ten on Sunday.

I'm kinda getting worried...we're due. Good thing about this place is, we can get 40" of snow on Tuesday and by the weekend -- hell, probably by Thursday -- all that's left of it are the piles that the snowplows make when they clear the parking lots. And even those are usually shrinking.

It really is very light and dry (easy to shovel) and melts VERY quickly.
