33. I didn't realize what "IIRC" stood for until last year...
I kinda knew what it MEANT, from seeing it in context,
but I never figured out the acronym...
Because my brain had been reading it as "2RC" every
time I saw it!(damn Romans!)
Then one day, I was actually typing the phrase "if I recall correctly"
and the light bulb finally appeared over my head.

24. Hi Pat Cakes! Welcome to DU!
:hi: :pals:

Some other DUisms you might not know yet:

IBTL: In before the lock. This is very useful in the lounge.

Crashcart: Dick Cheney, so called because he has a heart attack every other week. (I post this because it took me a year and a half before I knew WHY Crashcart referred to Cheney.)

Moran: Yes, we know it's spelled wrong - "moran" became famous from a hilarious picture of a freeper holding a protest sign that said "Get a Clue Morans! Go USA!" Maybe someone can post it for us

HUGH!!!!: Another freeper gem - apparently freepers can't spell "huge."

Series: See HUGH!!!! - in this case, the misspelled word is serious.

That's all I can think of now: enjoy DU!

49. You need to have your image
parked on the internet somewhere first. Most people use
Photobucket, I think, or someplace similar if they don't have
their own site. Then all you do is type in the URL.

As an example:
http://members.dslextreme.com/users/jgrif/alGore.jpg

would display a photo of Al Gore if I had set this post to
HTML.

If you don't know the URL of your image once you've uploaded
it you can right click on it (the photo) - then click on
properties and it will show the URL.
