"If there's a ****ing Ace of Clubs in my ass I'm gonna sue you!!" |

Ace of Clubs - David Blaine, street magician parody (running time 5 min) I laughed so hard at this my poor cat woke up and darted out of the room. She's just nosing around the doorframe again, 10 minutes later. Priceless... PB

3. To answer your questions, Mrs. G. |

(1) I believe the world record is 246.543 times in a 24 hour period by Bob Geldof during the original Live Aid concert. That impressive record has yet to be equalled. (2) Because that's what the real David Blaine does when he's completed a trick and wants the audience to think he's all spooky and mystical. And yes, it looks just as pitifully sappy when he does it for real.

4. I am a huge David Blaine fan and I have never seen him look into |

the camera...He usually is looking at his marks saying, "No...no...no!! Look! Look at this! Look!"
We love David Blaine at the Grumpy house.

5. I saw him during his UK tour, when he ended up... |
|
...in the perspex box hanging by the Thames. He got roundly destroyed by the press for pulling a lot of that 'spooky look to camera' stuff and generally behaving like a bit of a weirdo. On one morning talkshow, he refused to speak to the interviewer at all, but just held up his hand, on which was drawn an eye. This, he explained, was to protect him from evil spirits. He accompanied this revelation with the same 'spooky' look.
I've only watched a couple of his shows, but I thought that look was something of a trademark for him. Maybe I'm projecting.

"through" the Television. I really like him. I understand magic for what it is and I think he is rather talented at it. :hi: I just ran through the youtube files and there's not one clip of him looking into the camera.
The sad thing is, the clip would have had me laughing if they hadn't overdone it. That camera look thing was more David Copperfield-ish.
