We had a great phone talk, and I was glad that he liked the presents and the letter I sent. We talked for a long time and he shared many recollections. I enjoyed talking to my mom too, as always, but she was less vocal than usual since it is my dad's day today.
I am lucky to still have my parents, I know. I have driven them nuts and they have returned the favor, but I think that we all love one another very much. My parents worked very hard to give me such a good life. And they relaxed too and we all have had a lot of fun over the years.
They are great people.

Oh, FUCK, I really do sound like a Hallmark card. Just know that my INTENTIONS were to be eloquent. I'm glad you all still have each other. My precious dad's also 75. If the flight hadn't screwed up & sent us to San Fran a week later, we had a hot air balloon ride planned for him over the vineyards, but no.
OH shit, gotta go. Freaks knocking at door.

My dad turned 75 in September. He and Mom had a lot of problems, but it never affected my relationship with either one (and my brother and sister can say the same thing). You're lucky to have both of them, as am I, and I'm glad you realize that. :hug:
