1. Not at all. They're sports teams, nothing more, nothing less. Why would
I either love or hate something about them?

Thanks from NY!

5. Come on... The Mets are nothing like the Yankees.
The Mets are consummate underdogs; they have been the blue collar team from NYC since 62.

21. No team that spends over $100 million is an underdog
and that includes my White Sox (of course, a large percentage of that goes to Konerko and Thome).

And, just to be clear, the Cardinals are not underdogs, the Cubs are not underdogs, Detroit wasn't even an underdog this year (except for when they played the Yankees).

Tampa Bay, Florida, Colorado, Pittsburgh, KC...

Those are underdogs.

7. If they get knocked off by one of my teams I think it rocks...
But when two teams I don't care about get knocked off by two other teams I couldn't care less about, in a sport that I only watch when there's nothing else on, I tend not to get too excited...

Too funny! I wonder what moran guy is doing right now...
Sleeping off a celebratory hangover in the back of a pick-up?

Shopping for a new Cardinals tee-shirt for Game 1?

(By the way, does anyone know what the sign to the right of the picture said?)

20. To sportscasters, "teams outside of New York" means teams like
The NJ Devils, the NY Jets, and the NY Giants.

As in, "just outside of NYC"

18. I like it when the Yanks get knocked off
Being the Yankees ALWAYS ALWAYS go to the big show

But The Mets, that is something a little different. Long Island Soccer Moms all over are weeping now! Massapequa and Leviton Electrical Engineers everywhere are crying into their Starbucks!

And you applaud this???

22. I like the Yankees, only because my grandmother loved them
She was a huge fan, and I'm carrying on some of her attitude. I don't like the Mets, though. Glad they are out.

I don't like the Cardinals' Rolen very much, but that's just one guy.

24. Yes. Screw the media and their subway series cheerleading.
Sometimes I get so sick of the media being based in New York. The Mets are a lame second fiddle to the Yankees. Give me a team from the heartland like the Cardinals.
