Help me add to my "Pedal Steel" Playlist
Edited on Fri Oct-20-06 12:45 PM by Taverner
It's a selection of Country and Rock tunes with excellent Pedal Steel Guitar.

I would add some Robert Randolph, but he just doesn't feel like Pedal Steel, more like excellent blues slide...

These Days - Gregg Allman
Everybody Needs Somebody - The Marshall Tucker Band
I'm Holding You - Ween
Long Hard Ride - The Marshall Tucker Band
Walkin' The Streets Alone - The Marshall Tucker Band
Preposterous Box - Moses Guest
Saint Mo - Moses Guest
Best Side Up - Moses Guest
P**s Up a Rope - Ween
Fire On the Mountain - The Marshall Tucker Band
Pensamiento - Stephen Stills
Don't Look At My Shadow - Stephen Stills
Pride of Cucamonga - Grateful Dead
Wiser Time - The Black Crowes
One Of These Days - Pink Floyd

8. You are missing some Parson's eraFlying Burrito Bros. and Stones.
"The Worst" off Voodoo Lounge by the Stones- and you need "Devil in Disguise" by the Burritos.

9. Frank Zappa
"It Just Might Be a One Shot Deal" off Waka/Jawaka, featuring Sneaky Pete Kleinow.

Speaking of whom, anything he did with the Flying Burrito Brothers.

Do you know the work of Speedy West? Technically he did most of it before they put the pedals on the guitar, but he's still way cool.
