It's snowing leaves outside.
I have no fucking clue where this wind came from, but it is *insane* and we just went from having a clear lawn to a completely covered lawn in about 15 minutes.

It's totally nuts, kinda cool, but still totally nuts.

1. I wish I was there to see it. (not rake it!) We really don't have much of
an autumn here (NW FL). Long, hot summers lead into short falls (sometimes only a few days) and then, boom. It's winter. Of course, our winters would make you laugh as a northerner. But, this southerner seriously can't take the cold. I wear a sweatshirt when the wind kicks up on the beach--when it's 80.

2. Wow. I'm getting pretty adjusted to the colder weather.
I don't need a sweatshirt until it's dipping into the 50s. I think cleaning up the leaves is actually pretty fun. We have one of those backpack leaf blowers and we just blow them all back into the woods. No bagging or anything.

3. No raking...that's good. My back can't take the raking. Enjoy the
beautiful fall weather!

6. At least the sun is starting to come out here.
It should be getting sunny by you soon.

I hope it doesn't cloud up again. I want to go do some photography out in the woods this afternoon. There's an awesome foundation/chimney of an old stone cabin about a mile into the woods behind my house. I want to get shots of it in all four seasons.

Ruins in the woods sounds very cool, and today is certainly a prototypical Autumn day for your shoot. Happy hunting!

10. Yeah, it's definitely around 40mph. The trees are just getting thrown
around.

There's barely a cloud in the sky though now, so you guys should be seeing the soon soon.

Woah, a branch the size of a small tree just crashed in our front yard.

11. No shit, it's crazy here too
I had the windows open in my room because it was kind of warm last night, I went downstairs for a few hours to watch some shows I had on the Tivo and when I came back up it was utterly freezing up here! That and my car is now buried under 3 feet of leaves...stupid trees!

14. Same here in CT.
I heard 50 mph gusts for later tonight.

Just great, I have to cover a game on the Shoreline tonight. The field is right by the sound. I'm going to blown away.

15. Aw, man ... I miss having a real autumn ...
autumn in South Florida blows. The weather's nice, but not a single tree turns colors.

16. The colors are at their peak right now.
A few of the trees are already bare.

I wouldn't mind your winters, but I do love autumn in the northeast. I like the snow in the beginning of the winter. It doesn't take long for me to hate it, though.

17. Yeah, I like the snow in California...
there, you go and visit the snow, and then you go back home.

It's a whole different matter when you've gotta shovel that crap out of your driveway.
