due to spotting/cramping. The first one I blame on "Onyx the Wonder Kitten" and her revenge landing/leaping from the desk to my belly (two weeks after her trip to the vet for "fixing" and front declaw) -- OUCH! It caused my first "spotting/bleeding/cramping" incident in the pregnancy (on my 10th wedding anniversary, naturally), but as soon as they started hydrating me with the IV, things calmed down. Also, it gave my husband a chance to see the babies doing a little kickboxing contest! :)
The second incident was a week later, and 100% caused by me getting dehydrated due to a day spent throwing up anything (including water) that went into my stomach -- Not Fun. (Shudder) We finally went to hospital for an IV hydration, and things got better (but not before I threw up there a couple more times). That was more annoying than truly scary, if you know what I mean, because I had just seen the babies that morning on a "regularly scheduled" ultrasound, but the whole "being sick" thing had just escalated to a point where I couldn't stop. :( Again, both babies were / are fine, and this time the kickboxing contest (that I personally blame for the periodic attacks of nausea) generated two new nicknames for the babies: Jean-Claude Van Damm, and Brucella Lee. (We still don't know their sexes, but it seems to work better than "Cheese & Crackers.")
Other than being tired, nauseous, and Very Moody, we're all doing fine. I've even been able to eat today -- woo hoo! I'm "bedrested" today for yesterday's spotting (which was mild enough NOT to require a trip to the hospital), but my husband has been hogging the computer, so I just got your message. :)
I'm also going to go search for a Robb update...maybe he's posted since?
And again, THANK YOU FOR ASKING! :)
Best, Ida 14 wks, 3 days w/Twins
