If you ask me, beer should be served in edible glasses made out |
|
of solid beer - then, once we finish one, we can eat the glass while waiting for the next beer to arrive. Do you mean to tell me that we can put a man on the moon but we can't make edible beer-glasses!? The 21st century is a total fucking waste as far as I'm concerned...

9. That is an excellent question! We get no flying cars, we get no |
|
edible beer, no transporters, no moon base, no personal anti-gravity belts - the future is not at all what I was promised!
(I don't know if you remember it, but one of my favor TV commercials is the one with Avery Brooks bemoaning the absence of flying cars; I don't remember what it was for, but I remember the ad.)

6. I am both fascinated and repulsed... |

However, I must say that I was picturing something a bit more tasty than the mystery-objects invented in various frat houses...

In fact, the next  has just arrived. (And if you're wondering, the head was perfect - my wife poured this one...)

the photos would be crooked! That is why I go to Nite Owl's after work. We drink wine (occasionally), we knit, and we post on DU.

14. It sounds like you have a system... |
|
Still, if the kids you photograph are typical, a crooked photo could only be an improvement - and having a flask would mean that you had a solid object (aside from expensive cameras) available to smack annoying parents*.
*Caveat: following my advice on this or any other matter is guaranteed to get you fired, arrested, or confined to a mental hospital - proceed at your own risk.

15. There has been many a parent that I would have liked to slap |
|
Especially the ones that say "That's not _______'s smile!!" Somedays I really feel like saying "OK, whose smile is it??" Usually that is why the child is screaming. Guess what, mom is stressed, everyone is stressed.

I have actually had parents say that. It is either that or they don't like the background.

Parent-goggles are like beer-goggles times ten; every one who manages to reproduce has this bizarre notion that their offspring is flawless, and any problem is the fault of the photographer, teacher, parole officer, etc. I salute you - but I damn sure don't want to walk in your shoes! :scared: :patriot: :yourock: :hi:

Alcohol doesn't freeze, but it will sublimate, so you just get a cup of ice and near-beer. Again...fratboy...I tried.

16. While you pitch your idea, would you please mention mine too? |
|
For years, I have been thinking that beer and soft drinks should be piped into people's houses if they want it, just like tap water. I'd sure like a Dr Pepper tap so I wouldn't have to lug 12 2 liter Dr Peppers off the shelves, onto the counter, into the trunk, into the house, and then into the cabinet every single week. It gets tiresome after a while. Luckily, I can stop and take a swig of my DP when I need a break from lugging my DP's. :P

17. Now we're thinking outside the box! |
|
Your idea is genius! The oil industry, the water board, the sewage board - all of these and more have realized that the only way to transport fluids is by pipeline - what's the holdup in the soft drink industry? Perhaps there is a conspiracy, perhaps the BFEE doesn't want us to have our Dr. Pepper in a timely manner? :tinfoilhat:
