6. The Seaman mattress family has a beautiful castle compound in CT.
It is amazing. Great striper fishing right off the reef there, too.

7. sure no problem
I'll just dip into a couple of our millions if it's on the market...I'm sure my partner won't mind, she knows how I love to spend. :D I've loved castles since I was a kid. The Edinburgh in Scotland, The Cabra Castle in Ireland or The Winsor in London would be nice to have - I'd just have to throw out the tourists..too crowded. The guards can stay, they may come in handy sometime.

Btw, I didn't know much about the castles in CT so I did some searching. Didn't see the one you mentioned - will look for it again. However, I found a cool looking one called The Gillette Castle in East Haddam over looking the Conn. River. It has great stone work on the outside and wooden interiors. I also found a little gem, sort of. There's one called The Hearthstone Castle (part of the Tarrywile park) in Danbury CT that is really charming. Except it's boarded up and needs a lot of work. But rumor has it the city will sell it for a $1.00 if anyone is willing to restore it. So we're packing up and heading to Danbury to buy us a castle! Where else am I going to find a castle for a dollar? And who needs floors. We'll just restore them as we go along. Thanks haruka for mentioning CT castles, but my partner is going to a little surprised. LOL

2. Yes and no
In a castle that size I could finally put up all the bookshelves I need.

But they're so hard to heat.

4. I like your style.
I once built a bookcase across an entire wall at the old home place. I ran out of room in less than a year. I understand your plight.

11. Seems like there is enough income from rent and...
...entertainment possibilites that a buyer would not need to wait for retirement.

Honeymooners, families with little "princess" girls-put in a golf course for the daddies and it's all set.
