Political Halloween Costumes

Hey all! I am trying to think of a good halloween costume and thought it would be fun to do something political. Does anyone have any ideas for a good costume that would make a statement, yet not be too controversial to wear to the bar?

I apologize if someone else posted something similar...I didn't see anything, but sometimes it's hard to tell.

1. A chickenhawk costume

2. A Billionaire for Bush.

Wear the tackiest, loudest "wealthy" clothes you can find. And then carry a small sign saying something like "Will not work for food" or "won't somebody please think of the billionaires?"

This costume works well, because there are so many ways to approach it. You can be a Gilligans Island millionaire, a Paris Hilton-type, a "well, I've never!" matron, etc. etc.

5. Last year, I came to work as Dick Cheney

in a prisoner's outfit. It was a big hit here.

10. Go as an 8-track cartridge. Should be easy to make, basically just a box -

then, if people ask you why you're wearing it, you can say: "I'm just fond of outdated things, like 8-tracks, Habeas Corpus, votes that are actually counted, things like that."
