So, what is it with huge/multiple American flags on cars?
I mean, I have a small one. But what is the reasoning for the huge ones? Or the cars and trucks that drive around with two or four actual flags flying from their vehicle?

Do they think that I'm looking at them driving around in the middle of the US, thinking something like: "Now see that guy in the LeSabre? I'm almost positive he's a Venezuelan!"

1. There's a woman that I see driving around pretty frequently with
*FOUR* flags flying from the windows of her bright yellow X-Terra. Although, that still less obnoxious than my karate sensei who has one of those flag rear windows in his pick-up and a George Fucking Bush quote painted on the tailgate.

8. LOL! What Bush quote could possibly be worth painting on a car?
"Is our children learning?"

"That's George Washington, the first president, of course. The interesting thing about him is that I read three -- three or four books about him last year. Isn't that interesting?"

"I think -- tide turning -- see, as I remember -- I was raised in the desert, but tides kind of -- it's easy to see a tide turn -- did I say those words?"

"You never know what your history is going to be like until long after you're gone."

"Finally, the desk, where we'll have our picture taken in front of -- is nine other Presidents used it. This was given to us by Queen Victoria in the 1870s, I think it was. President Roosevelt put the door in so people would not know he was in a wheelchair. John Kennedy put his head out the door."

"If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator."

"They misunderestimated me."

That must be a beautiful car...

12. It's some quote about winning.
I forget the exact quote, but it's actually grammatically correct, so it's one of the rare things he managed to repeat properly through the earpiece. At least he got it painted on professionally in a nice silvery paint. The truck itself is nice (and he needs it for work, at least). It's just the stuff that he choose to adorn it with that's retarded.

I always have to chuckle a bit when I end up parked next to him in the lot. Since the stickers on my Jeep read..."Democraticunderground.com," "War is not the answer," "Defend America. Fire the Republicans," and a rainbow "Girls Kick Ass!" sticker.

4. I suppose, but it seems stupid to me, or like they're overcompensating.
Do they have something else they don't want people to think about? Not implying terrorism, just anything in general.

5. I don't think they're capable of that
They're the ones to whom America is just a slightly smaller version of the NFL and every war, every battle, every debate is a football game. A flag to them is the same as a Giants cap or a Bears jacket.

7. I just think they're really stupid and forgetful...
...so they need to keep reminding themselves what country they live in. Otherwise, they might accidentally start driving on the wrong side of the road or something.

10. hehehe. I wonder sometimes if it can possibly be patriotism, as tattered
as some of the flags are.

9. There's an asshole in my area who drives a Hummer -
one of the really big ones - who has the whole damn thing painted to look like a huge flag. Here's a wasteful piece of shit that gets maybe 5 miles to the gallon and the idiot owner turns it into a giant American flag with an eagle holding a bunch of arrows painted on there for emphasis. The only reasonable explanation is that the dude is compensating......

13. Alright, I'm probably going to get in trouble for this,
but every time I see some one with the flags on their cars all I can think about is the Nazi cars.

14. That would be a relatively easy thought to jump to, considering how all
the WWII movies and the Nazi vehicles with the flags flying are ingrained into our consciousness.
