I did the happy dance earlier!
Long story short, before I moved, I had a mammogram done. It came back inconclusive on the left side. So I had a repeat mammogram done, which came back inconclusive on the right side. YIKES. I went for a third mammogram which I was just notified came out all clear!

:woohoo:

I literally burst into tears when I heard that news.

4. It must have been terrifying.
Nothing is quite so nervewracking as having one's fate turn on the outcome of medical tests. It's almost as if the whole process was designed to be an exquisite torture.

I'm glad you came through it unscathed (except perhaps for a recurring facial tic and nervousness around loud noises).

:hi:

9. Just extrapolating.
I went through a similar health scare a few years back, and I swear I became jumpier than a cat for a long time after I got the all clear. I felt like the other shoe was going to drop in a big way at any time, so I went through life like I was negotiating a minefield.

5. That is great news....
...Mrs. Robeson has dealt with this her whole life. Her Mom died of breast cancer, and her Mom's two sisters died of ovarian and breast cancer. It's serious shit when it's genetic. She goes for tests all the time, and took one drug for 5 years which was supposed to help retard any cancer in her.

Good news KitchenWitch! :bounce:

8. I have no genetic factors
But the fact that over 1/4 of my body was exposed during my radiation treatment for Hodgkins Disease 19 years ago, I have an increased risk.

WHEW

14. I'm so glad for you, KitchenWitch!
 :woohoo:  As someone who knows what that's like, I know the relief you feel. :D Three years ago, my baseline mammogram showed a "suspicious mass" in my left breast, and I had to have a needle biopsy. It was a very small mass. I spent ten days not knowing whether I had breast cancer because I had to have a consultation with a surgeon and then he had to order the biopsy. :( When I got the results three days after the biopsy, they showed it was benign. :) But I was worried to death for ten days.

:bounce: Yay, KitchenWitch! :woohoo:

16. There's some facilities now that schedule biopsies
before you see a surgeon. Glad yours came out OK.

17. Thanks! Me too...
If only the facility I had to use had done it before seeing the surgeon, I'd have been a happier camper... :)
