What makes people think it's ok.... |
|
To write in library books? I borrowed a book through inter-library-loan, to work on a paper for school. Not only are their copious underlinings, notes, etc., in pencil, but also in RED FUCKING PEN!! :wtf: It's not your book, if it's in the library!! And especially for an academic text, it's damn distracting to the next person who needs to read it! </channeling Rabrrrrrr>

I donate books to my library, and they either keep them or sell them. I try not to write in my school books but I do the exercises sometimes at the end of the chapter.

2. That always used to piss me off |
|
Especially when someone highlighted everything they thought was important, and ended up highlighting half the damned book.
And notes in the margins that only show how little they understood the material. x(

5. Good thing you didn't have my college textbooks. |
|
I highlighted EVERYTHING in there because I couldn't filter out what was more important. :D

8. The librarian should have checked the book when it was returned. |
|
The perpetrator should have been made to buy the desecrated book.
Bad fucking government.

11. Wait a minute here... |
|
I always thought that when I dropped books off in the overnight drop off box outside, there was a little librarian, waiting to have books dropped on her head, holding a mini-maglight to check the books for writing.
Are you saying I'm wrong?
