Congratulations to the gay and lesbian couples in New Jersey!
You won a tremendous victory yesterday. Actually, it's a victory for ALL residents of New Jersey.

My congratulations to you!

BTW: it's not going to impact the elections. Pass it on.

3. I just came back from GD.
One word: yikes.

No. People are disgusted with Bush, the Iraq war, the Republican corruption in Congress. This wonderful victory yesterday won't change any of that.

:hi:

6. Yeah it's kind of aggrivating
If inter-racial marriages weren't recognized or legal, and this ruling was about them, would they be as pissed off? What's the point of being a progressive if you don't support progressive causes with pride.

5. A victory on paper.
I hope that the NJ lege doesn't drag its collective feet too long in crafting a solution that really guarantees the rights in question. I hope it doesn't come down to a separate-but-equal scheme.

I look forward to congratulating all of New Jersey when marriage certificates don't discriminate.
