Man Pulls His Dog Out Of Alligator's Jaws
<snip>

NAPLES, Fla. -- A Lee County man and his dog will probably be staying out of canals for a while after a scare with a gator.

Terry Weaver said he pulled his dog from the jaws of a six-foot long alligator. The dog had gone in the canal when Weaver jumped on the alligator's back and wrestled it to set the dog free.

The dog wasn't seriously injured.

I'd better not show this article to my dog because if he's ever caught in the jaws of an aligator my but is going to be to busy running in the other direction to pull him out. ;)

Oh wait, he can't read...whew!

On edit: Also since I live in New England I don't suppose there's much worry either way. :)

4. Nothing new.
Erstwhile pro golfer Ken Green did this years ago.

8. Those damn things must be breeding like rats
down there. If I recall, three women recently killed by alligators. One woman killed and another woman who was attacked but managed to get away two years ago.

Florida ought to have an open season on the damn things. I know I wouldn't go anywhere near any body of water down there without a .357 magnum.

I'm no fan of alligators, which is part of the reason I live in New England, but why not just give Florida back to gators (and the Katherine Harrises)? who needs 'em?
