Sitting there drinking coffe warm and cozy 'cause you can't go to work or school because of that big blizzard. Amazing storm with 18" inches. Is it still snowing?

they say we will only get 1-3 inches. So far in my hood, we have 3 inches and it's still coming down hard. No school closings here.

...this winter in Oklahoma City. Damn. I miss that happening. It happened when I was kid several times, and it was so fun.

6. Everywhere isn't...

I am.

The weather they predicted hit this morning and I've got 3 ft. drifts in my front yard and this time it's a wet snow -- or it started out that way -- and I've got broken branches out back. And it's still snowing.

Courts are closed. City buses aren't running. City offices are closed. Schools are closed. The highways are closed from the north end of town to Castle Rock (halfway to Denver). The malls are closed.

That's the kicker. The malls closed.

I've got a fire going in the fireplace and I'm making chili and cornbread for dinner. Just made some hot chocolate and peanut butter cookies and I'm going to sit down with the kids and eat some popcorn and watch Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Probably be fine. Flights were 'delayed' earlier...at least that's what the news said. My guess is 'canceled', but it could've been whiteout up at this end of town (and it was) and not as bad out there.

It's supposed to hit mid-fifties tomorrow, though.

only a few inches, it has stopped snowing, and the forecast for tomorrow is in the mid 50s.

Interstate 70 is another story - closed, I believe.
