Question: are you attracted to a specific physical 'type' of person?

Just curious. I don't seem to have any preferences with regard to height, build, coloring, or even gender, lol. I'm wondering how common it is for people to be attracted to people who have certain features or look a certain way, to the exclusion of others. If so, is it just an attraction thing, or do you carry it into real life by only dating people that look like that? An example is John Derek and his wives:

3. For the most part, yes.

My deepest feelings, and hardest relationships (not necessarily longest) have been with dark haired, dark eyed men. I am a little biased against blue eyed boys-they do nothing for me. That's looks though-personality wise I have dated men all over the spectrum, from mean spirited to sweet as pie, from "take care of me" to "I don't need you- so leave" types.

Tall, lanky men like Sean Bean and Harrison Ford. But what really appeals to me is emotional intensity. Passion (for causes, for life) appeals to me.

It has to do with the hairstyle and eyes more than anything. I like the "cat eyes" look and I like bangs and medium length hair. Those aren't hard fast rules, but they do seem to be a trend. Now, if someone has the Nancy Spungen/Courtney Love/Deborah Harry look or some goth look going on, I like that too.

to Eurasian men (Keanu Reeves, Apolo Anton Ohno) because of their mix of masculine and feminine, I have found attractive and dated men of just about every ethnic makeup/physical type. With that said, there are a few attributes that I do not find attractive at all -- I have never dated a man who was stringbean or who was built like a defensive linebacker -- those body types just do not turn me.

Thick, straight black hair makes me weak at the knees. My 1st crush in 4th grade was Italian, and it was all downhill from there. Everyone I dated in college had a long name with a vowel at the end.

So what do I end up with? Someone raised with a Sicilian grandmother who looks 100% German - dead white skin, blue eyes. As one of his friends said "you're what the Romans saw coming over the hills at the end." Figures.

20. It depends

on the gender. With men, I'm attracted to average weight and not too much taller than me but not typically athletic guys. With other women, I'm attracted to the athletic type who are about the same height.

tend to like short to medium height women. But tall is fine if the personality is right. IMO, for a relationship, personality is the #1 factor. I usually must see an interview from a celeb before even putting a celeb on my crush list. I think the ones on my list, like Alyssa Milano, Amber Tamblyn, and Natalie Portman, have the best combination of a good personality and good looks.
